**Job**:Head of Web Development
**Location**: Norwich / Remote with 1 day a week office based
**Salary**: £60-80,000 + share options.
Our client, a global organisation with a Norwich hub are looking to bring on board a new Head of web development to lead the technical team for the UK arm of the business. The business are an industry leading web business with headquarters in California anda team of over 500 staff globally with a mission to help consumers with clear and unbiased advice on personal decisions. We're looking for an experienced technology leader to drive innovation, manage the technical team and provide the conduit between the technologicaland commercial sides of the business
As head of development you'll lead the development of the website and supporting systems for the UK business working closely with the Senior management team and the US arm of the business to achieve the global vision and business objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Management of the Development and UX team (back end, front end and UX designer)
- Provide leadership and coaching to the team to drive innovation and improvement.
- Drive the creation of an excellent User experience.
- Collaborate with the commercial and marketing teams to leverage technology in order to achieve commercial business goals
- Ensure the evolution of systems, infrastructure and web assets are scalable, responsive, resilient and versatile.
- Full accountability for technical delivery, and ability to communicate project updates to the wider business.
- Ensure website and systems aligns with security, data protection and compliance requirements.

- Ability to collaborate with others and tackle problems with enthusiasm to find solutions.
- Leadership with compassion, and people centric management style
- Good organisational skills with the ability to managing changing requirements.
- Able to balance commercial requirements of business whilst maintaining a modern, progressive technical environment.
Ideally we're looking for you if you have the following experience:

- A career within software development teams (ideally some time actually as a developer)
- A track record leading technical teams (ideally within a web environment)
- Familiarity with modern technology stacks
- Basic knowledge of User Experience principles and human centred design.
