Parts Assistant

A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as a **Parts Assistant** at our **Cold Meece Refurbishment and Defleet** site, to source and supply vehicle parts efficiently for customer and workshop vehicles.
This role would be ideal for anyone with a keen interest in the motor trade or looking to learn a new skill as full training can be given.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
**Hours**:8.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (unpaid), i.e. 42.5 hours per week.
**What you’ll be doing**:
- Maintain and manage internal stock levels for workshop consumables.
- Serve a busy counter suppling, mechanical parts, body shop parts and consumables to staff.
- Process parts orders efficiently and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers.
- Use our in-house management / computer systems to update and plan orders effectively.
- Carry out regular stock checks.
- Assist the parts advisor and manager with daily tasks.
**What we need from you**:
- Prior experience in the motor trade, particularly in parts, would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills
- Organised and adaptable.
- Computer literate.
- Positive attitude and willing to learn.
- Can do attitude.
