**Job Advert Description***

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Forensic Imaging unit, JSIU as an Assistant Forensic Imaging Officer. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have an interest in digital media and are keen to develop their skills. Within this role you will provide technical support to operational officers and other Forensic Imaging team members in the recovery and processing of digital evidence (photographic & CCTV) to support the investigation of crime.

Due to the nature of the images produced within the Unit, the Post Holder must

aware that they can be of a very sensitive nature.

This is a full time permanent position. This post is suitable for job share/part time workers.

The Joint Scientific Investigation Unit is a collaborative arrangement between Gwent Police & South Wales Police to provide Scientific services to both forces.

This role is suitable for part time/job share workers.
