About the role
A Planner will be responsible for preparing and organising all the necessary materials, tools, equipment, documentation, plant access and resource requirements to support the effective and efficient delivery of work. Additionally, they are required to manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
To be successful a more senior position, you will require experience in an operational team. In this case your role would include leading on tasks of a more complex nature, including completing more intricate work packs and writing Plant Modification Proposals (PMP’s).
Your skills and qualifications
Required:
- 3 GCSEs Grade C/4 or above (including English, Maths & Science) or equivalents.
- Demonstrable in-depth experience in/or supporting operations in industries such as transport, production, manufacturing, logistics.
- Demonstrable experience in leading a task/team or a significant piece of work.
- Demonstrable experience of engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience of interpreting complex data to solve problems.
- Demonstrable experience of holding a specialist role, such as a Person Organising Words, Asbestos Coordinator etc.
- Demonstrable experience in providing continuous improvement.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering operations support in environments of various complexities, eg. transport, production, manufacturing, logistics.
- Demonstrable experience of acting as a role model e.g., coaches/mentors team members within and outside their own facility.
To be successful in a senior Planner role, you’d also require the following:
- Demonstrable experience of holding a nominated role e.g., POW, asbestos coordinator etc.
