We are currently seeking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Advanced Speech and Language Therapists who have experience working with children with neurodevelopmental difficulties including ASD, Intellectual Disabilities, ADHD and Long Term Health Conditions to join our new and innovative Hull and East Riding Neurodevelopmental Team.

The post holder will have the opportunity to provide specialist speech and language input into the assessment and intervention for children and young people within the Neurodevelopmental Team predominantly within ASD and ADHD assessment. They will have the opportunity to be part of providing assessment for children with neurodevelopmental difficulties alongside providing supervision to other MDT members and training to other agencies. If you have the relevant skills and experience within clinical work and supervision in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings, we would be delighted to hear from you.

You will join a busy and well established team consisting of disciplines such as Speech and Language Therapy, Nursing, Art Therapy, Psychology and Psychiatry. You will have the opportunity to influence the development of the service at a systemic and interagency level.

This is an exciting time to be joining us due to the extensive transformation work being undertaken by not only our team, but also the wider Neurodiversity service. We are developing a multi-agency approach to meeting the needs of children with neurodiversity and their families. We have a strong focus on evidence based practice and the use of routine outcome measures. There is a commitment to ongoing staff training to enable practitioners to have therapeutic and supervisory skills. We are also working towards having more participation from young people and their families in directing service development.
