Domestic Services Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic individuals to join our wonderful Domestic Services Team as we are looking to expand our efficient and high quality service here at Broomfield Hospital therefore enhancing and improving the service offered to all our patients, visitors, and staff.
Successful post holders will be required to carry out specific cleaning and other related duties to set procedures and standards. You will be required to work as part of a team and have the ability to use a degree of initiative to prioritise and organise the daily duties, whilst maintaining a professional approach at all times regardless of the situation.
To maintain the cleanliness of the Ward/Department environment in accordance with the cleaning schedule identified in Mid Essex Hospital Trust and National Specification for Cleanliness Standards guidelines.
Basic Numeracy and ability to read and understand English Language. Good interpersonal skills, able to work in a team environment.
Cleaning experience is desirable although full training will be given.

- Be capable of working alongside professional people and maintaining a good working relationship. Confidentiality must be abided by at all times.

Our staffs work in various parts of the hospital environment, wards, offices, clinics, corridors and more specialised areas such as Theatres.
You will need to be reliable, have excellent communication skills and a drive to improve the patient experience. You will need to be reasonably fit and able to follow instructions in verbal written form. Literacy is important.
