1. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To guide and deliver multimodal Prehabilitation programme to newly diagnosed patients with cancer.
The role will provide a dietetic service to newly diagnosed cancer patients triaged and referred across the service. Allocated areas of work will depend on experience.
Our service is a dynamic, well-established team with support from clinicians, physiologists, counsellors and academic colleagues.
Duties comprise but are not exhaustive: o Following the Kent and Medway Prehabilitation guidance and protocols of exercise planning and delivery. o Competence and familiarisation with digital health tools is essential. o Delivery of sessions via Telehealth. o Delivery of group-based live sessions via tele health. o Deliver dietetic support for patients triaged and referred via Prehab Physiologists.
Attendance when requested by Senior Exercise Physiologist at local meetings and events to promote Kent and Medway Prehabilitation.
The post holder will be expected to deliver live stream of small group-based education classes, requiring group facilitation skills as well as excellent engagement, IT and verbal communication skills. Tasks will also include contacting patients to arrange suitable appointment and session times and if necessary, data collection around the sessions. These sessions will be delivered by Zoom though may move to face-to-face delivery in the next year.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
A degree or postgraduate qualification in dietetics or human nutrition, accredited by t he British Dietetic Association
Evidence of recent continuous professional development
Desirable o Experience working within a multidisciplinary team. o Excellent team working o Experience of delivering specialist programmes such cancer rehabilitation.

4. ORGANISATION
I. HOW AND BY WHOM THE POST IS MANAGED
The Operations Lead will line manage the post holder.
II. LEVEL OF INITIATIVE AND/OR INDEPENDENCE EXPECTED OF THE POST HOLDER
The post holder will be predominantly expected to work independently, in accordance with the project guidance making clinical judgements on individuals’ clinical needs. They will have weekly contact with the Supervising Operations Lead to have clinical discussions and feedback on work patterns but the Managing
Director will be available for consultation.
Attendance at Weekly sessions with Managing Director for operations and strategy meetings is expected.
III. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
They may have supervisory responsibility for volunteers who may assist the programme and academic interns but no management responsibility for team members
5. FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
They will have no financial accountabilities.
6. WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The post holder will be working part time 2 hours a week. These hours may be in the evenings and weekends. Any aberrations or deviations with the agreed work pattern will have to be agreed in advance.
7. SAFEGUARDING AND PROTECTING CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS
All Staff are required to complete mandatory safeguarding adults training relevant to their position and role and take ownership of ensuring this is kept updated.
