**Role Profile**

Bunzl Catering Supplies, part of the Bunzl Catering & Hospitality Division, is the leading distributor of disposables, packaging and hygiene solutions to the hospitality and catering sectors in the UK. Delivering to a variety of customers in both the privateand public sector from small independent cafe owners, local health trusts and schools to national hotel and restaurant chains.

As the exclusive recruitment partner for Bunzl Catering Supplies, Cast UK are leading the search for a Buying Assistant to be based either at their head office in Epsom or their strategic site in Enfield. The Buying Assistant is a role that supports theBuyers and Category Managers and requires excellent communication skills predominately with an internal focus to the sales team, buyers, stock controllers and contact with external suppliers. The role will cover general administration within the PurchasingTeam, including price increase analysis, maintenance of product information on the system and quote management. This is the perfect role for someone looking for their first opportunity within Buying.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintenance of products and data
- Reviewing non selling lines and make inactive/not useable
- Collecting data from suppliers and updating system
- Running company reports
- Obtain quotes for products
- Answer queries on Products
- Helping with Product Switches
- Logging Savings and updating Tracker
- Assisting in new supplier set up and review of Code of conduct and Ethical Sourcing Policy
- Supplier price changes admin
- Assisting on out-of-stock products

**Skills & Experience**
- Basic/Intermediate Excel skills - V look-ups and Pivot tables
- Perfect position for someone looking for their 1st step into Buying
- Display an interest in the UK food market, keeping up to date with market trends
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail, thoroughness and a methodical approach to work
