You will be expected to use evidence-based practice to deliver positive outcomes for residents in West Sussex.As part of the Occupational Therapy Team, you'llfocus on preventing, reducing and delaying the need for care and support; providing advice, information, equipment and adaptation to promote wellbeing and independence. You will ensure that residents, families and communities have the right support in placeat the right time.Working alongside the Occupational Therapy Team Manager, you will provide Occupational Therapy expertise, professional supervision and support to colleagues.Are you innovative with strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to workwell under pressure? If so, take a look at the attached job description and see if you have the skills, qualifications, and experience to be a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist Experience and SkillsKey Skills:Expertise in applying a risk enablementapproach and using evidence-based practice.Expertise in completion of strengths-based assessment (as directed by the Care Act 2014).Expertise in developing a person-centred care and support plan with clearly defined outcomes.Excellent communication and interpersonalskills in order to provide clear advice and guidance in complex cases, including the ability to use a variety of information technologies.Excellent supervision, coaching and mentoring skills to provide development opportunities and direction to team members.Abilityto prioritise and organise own work and work of others to meet agreed performance expectations.Qualifications and/or experience:Diploma / BSc Occupational Therapy or equivalent Occupational Therapy qualification.Registration with Health and Care ProfessionsCouncil (HCPC).Significant post qualifying experience at a senior level with examples of applying Occupational Therapy practice to complex issues.Experience of supervising, coaching and mentoring of staff and students.Rewards and BenefitsAs an employer werecognise that it is our employees that are central to everything we do.
