Talk staff are delighted to be supporting a truly global brand to recruit an Investment Controller to be based at their site in Burton On Trent.

Reporting to the Head of Controlling this is a high profile and business facing position and will require you to liaise with stakeholders at all levels of business. There is a clear emphasis on fixed asset accounting so you will ideally have extensive experiencein this field.

**The role**:

- Working as part of the Head Office finance team
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with the corporate Fixed Asset Policy and Processes
- Liaising with Local Function Heads and Investment team during MP/OP process & maintaining HQ reporting system
- Co-ordinating the Local Investment Committee meetings
- Reporting Capital project approvals and expenditure to Local Function Heads & HQ
- Risk management and Internal Controls Framework for capital expenditure accounting
- Recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposals of fixed assets
- Tracking the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed
- Reconciling the balance in the fixed asset register to the relevant accounts in the general ledger
- Preparing audit schedules relating to fixed assets, and assist the auditors in their inquiries
- Providing relevant adhoc analytic and advisory support on various projects in a timely manner

**Experience and qualifications**:

- Fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA
- Demonstrable experience within a large corporate environment in a fixed asset management role
- Good technical financial accounting skills with knowledge of internal controls
- A high proficiency in Excel is essential
- Experience of SAP is very desirable, although training will be given
- Able to demonstrate analytical skills (understanding and interpreting information)
- Must have a drive for improvement of systems / reporting and comfortable with adapting to, and driving change

**Salary & Working Hours**
- Salary is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- Full Time - Monday - Friday - 9am -5pm
- Hybrid working 3 days in the office and 2 at home
