**Description**
Accounts Payable Officer duties and responsibilities;
- Monitoring, checking Purchase Ledger invoices onto system.
- Ensure all authorised purchase ledger invoices are returned to finance in a timely manner.
- Preparation of payment runs.
- Set up and maintain supplier accounts.
- Provide administration support to the department.
- Ensuring all supplier bank details held are correct and verified.
- Manage new starters / leavers plus the maintenance of expense claims.
- Investigating queries.
- Posting journals.
- Supplier account reconciliations.
**Profile**
Accounts Payable Officer experience and characteristics;
- A minimum of 2+ years' experience in a similar role AP or PL role
- Fast and accurate data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Comfortable with learning and developing new systems and processes.
- Computer Literate with sound knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Previous experience of all round finance roles would be an advantage.
- Experience of Sage or Sun accounting packages would be an advantage.
