JOB DESCRIPTION: SALES SECRETARY / ADMINISTRATOR
Job Title: Sales Secretary / Administrator
Reporting to: General Manager
Hours:Monday - Friday
8.00am - 4.30pm
½ Hour Lunch
Salary/Hourly Rate: OIRO 20k-23k
Location:Strood, Kent
Purpose:
To assist the General Manager in the smooth running of the sales office. Provide secretarial and administrative support to faciliate initial enquiries into sales. Ensure customer enquiries are dealt with in a professional and timely manner. Maintain our operating system (MCS) to ensure paperwork is prepared and filed in line with our internal working guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Respond to sales enquiries ensuring full and meaningful details have been forwarded to the General Manager for follow up
- Correspond with customers as per General Manager advice
- Communicate pricing and availability of plant machinery
- Ensure enquiries are dealt with promptly to maximise potential for sales
- Liaise with shipping providers
- Communicate with customers to provide all relevant paperwork/contract prior to, and after delivery.
- Maintain our “sales list”.
Skills/Qualifications:
- IT literate (Google Mail / Google Docs / Excel / Libre (Word))
- Good communications skills with a polite and confident telephone manner
- Organised and methodical
- Ability to prioritise
- Customer driven
- Ability to learn MCS (full training will be provided)
