**What is the job?**

As a Yard Operative the role will involve an element of manual handling, as well ensuring the yard is maintained to a high standard. There is always plenty to do and a variety of jobs so it is important that you can use your own initiative and are able to manage your time sufficiently. The Yard Operative role can provide an excellent foundation for a successful career at Stobart Energy.

**Working Hours**:45 per week
**Working Schedule**: Tuesday to Saturday
**Key Responsibilities**:**To ensure compliance with all legislative and company standards by**:

- Present company vehicles for MOT testing and servicing on time.
- Provide general depot maintenance where required.
- Provide on-site and off-site support when required.
- Lead all aspects of maintaining a clean and tidy yard/working environment.
- Ensure all vehicles/trailers are parked in the accurate locations.
- Complete a daily in-depth yard check to confirm status of all assets parked within the depot.
- Provide support to the Operations Team as and when required.
- Maintain a healthy working relationship with Drivers and other on-site colleagues.
- Ensure site fuel station is inspected daily, all issues reported, and paperwork completed accurately.
- Support the Fleet and Engineering Manager and Workshop controller as required.
- Be adaptable/flexible to react to Operational/business needs.

**Skills Knowledge and Expertise**:**Essential**
- Full LGV C+E (Class 1) License
- Hold a valid and in date DQC card
- Hold a valid in date Digital Tachograph Card
- IT Literate including Microsoft word, excel and outlook

**Desirable**
- CPC National Qualification or willing to work towards
