**The Role**

The Service Delivery Underwriting teams are located in three key hubs, Colchester, York and Glasgow. The team forms part of Hiscox UK’s central operations function and are responsible for the underwriting of volume Professions and Speciality Commercial Broker business. The team encompass e-trade, speciality, new business, existing business and referrals which influence the declinature rate targets for the portfolio using the change cycle.

The Service Delivery Underwriting team work with the regional underwriting teams to deliver superb service in line with the agreed sales strategy.

As an E-trade underwriter, you will be expected to exceed the key measures set of GWP, conversion, retention, cross-sell, referral rate reduction, quotes per day, turnaround times, workflow management, phone service and prospecting.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Supporting the delivery of the UK e-trade strategy for our brokers
- Be engaged with e-trade roadmap and business plans
- Integral to the delivery of the e-trade Acturis budget
- Support central broker migrations with underwriting and system expertise
- Support business testing on the Acturis platform
- Identify and create efficiency gains for Hiscox and for our brokers
- Looking for ways to improve the effectiveness of the customer journey, ensuring a culture of first time resolution is prevalent
- Identify and drive process improvement and merlin system changes
- Develop your underwriting skill set by having broker conversations and handling case referrals; writing New and retaining Existing business
- Underwriting triage of migration books with key milestones & deadlines
- Drive portfolio underwriting changes that improve the customer journey and deliver Hiscox Digital ambition
