Marie Curie is looking for a part time Legacy Administrator to join the team
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness, they’re likely to die from.
The individual in this role will be part of the Legacy Administration Team, responsible for ensuring the prompt collection of Marie Curie's entitlements, while striving to enhance the charity’s reputation and add value where possible.
The Legacy Administration Team plays a crucial role in generating income for the charity, working closely with partners in marketing and local legacy fundraising. We promote personal growth through training and collaboration across the Directorate and the wider organisation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensure all incoming correspondence is scanned and assigned to the appropriate case handler with a designated Priority Code.
- Create new legacy files in FirstClass4(our case management system) upon notification, setting up reviews as necessary for the relevant case handler.
- Alert the Legacy Administration Lead to any urgent or potentially contentious correspondence.
- Record all legacy income in FirstClass4 and maintain a log of electronic payments.
- Represent and safeguard Marie Curie’s interests in all communications, addressing queries from legal professionals and the public as required.
- Support the team’s paperless initiative by scanning any remaining paper files into FirstClass4.
- Perform data management and cleansing tasks within FirstClass4.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Legacy Administration Lead.

**Salary**:£20,820.80 pro rata **_plus _**London Weighting £3,500
**Contract: Part time**
**Based**:London Office, due to requirements of this role hybrid working will not be offered at this time. Flexibility is offered over hours.
