**Description**
**Main duties**:
- Develop, implement and monitor all financial controls for the company including delegated powers, controls for purchases, sales, stock, cash and banking.
- Production of draft statutory accounts for review by external auditors (PWC) and completion of final accounts for signature in accordance with specification and timetable provided by the SESW Financial Controller.
- Provision of financial information for external auditors (PWC) to enable SESW tax computations to be completed accurately and on time.
- Support General Manager in production of annual budget and quarterly forecasts in accordance with specification and timetable provided by the SESW Financial Controller.
- Manage Accounts Assistant(s) to deliver an efficient service to the business through training, development, objective setting and performance appraisal.
- Oversee all cash handling within the business including control and operation of the till(s) on the trade counter, banking arrangements and all petty cash and floats.
- Contribute to development of the business through financial modelling and appraisal of opportunities and recommendations to the General Manager.
- Contribute to all aspects of business performance through active engagement with all members or the management team.
- Variance analysis of monthly results compared to current budgets and previous years data
- Daily Cash Flow reporting.
- Management of aged debtors and aged creditors reports and pursuing the debt where necessary.
- Maintaining Fixed Asset register.
- Production of weekly sales figures including budget target and gross margin data.
- Prepare, reconcile and submit quarterly VAT returns and payments.
- Calculate and reconcile customer and supplier rebates.
- Checking and authorising payment runs on the bank accounts.
