Who are we?
Humankind is a vibrant and growing charity with over 30 years' experience working with individuals, families and communities affected by health and social inequalities across the country with a focus on improving people’s well-being. Humankind is one of England’s most successful home-grown charities. We have over 1,100 staff and around 100 volunteers providing services for over 20,000 people. Our specialist services include substance use, clinical, employment training and education, housing services, housing support and health, young people, and families’ services.
About Forward Leeds
Humankind, lead partner at Forward Leeds, is one of England’s most successful home-grown charities. We provide free, confidential support for alcohol, drugs, housing, or mental health in friendly local places across the UK. We are committed to fair chances for all and making sure everyone can access the help and support they need to realise their potential. By joining our teams of passionate individuals, you will be contributing to making this happen. You can really make a difference by believing in our service users and their ability to make positive changes when they don’t always believe in themselves.
Earlier this year the Government released its ten year strategy ‘From Harm to Hope’ with funding available to create “world class” treatment services. Leeds City Council has secured enhanced funding to improve drug and alcohol treatment provision across the city which is being invested in services provided by Forward Leeds.
Forward Leeds is an integrated city-wide service supporting adults and young people who are struggling with alcohol and other drugs through dedicated prevention, early intervention and tailored programmes, supporting people to achieve and sustain recovery.
