At Pollock (SCOTRANS) Ltd, we have a vacancy for a **Fleet Advisor** to work within a small team based at our Pollock (SCOTRANS) Ltd, Bathgate depot.

**The position of Fleet Advisor involves**:

- To book in and handle external workshop related jobs for planned and unplanned maintenance, MOT's Tacho calibrations etc. for fleet trucks and trailers in-line with operational requirements and ensure all manufacturers parameters are adhered to.
- Give regular updates on work in progress to the traffic operations.
- Raise and log jobs onto the Group Freeway System and finalise PO's.
- Liaise and book work with external workshops and inform operations on when the vehicle will be unavailable from and to.
- Dealing with external suppliers and negotiating best value for money.
- Provision of suitable and recognised maintenance contractors for the fleet.
- Gather inspection sheets, tacho calibrations, MOT certificates and any other related compliance paperwork and send on to the central fleet admin team.
- Record and administer defect reports.
- Co-ordinate and monitor roadside breakdowns including: refrigeration, tyres, tail-lifts and any other ancillary equipment.
- Provide advice to drivers and operators in regard to maintenance solutions with a view to minimising vehicle off road time.
- Provide technical support to other team members and customers.

**Essential skills required for Fleet Advisor**:

- Knowledge of HGV's ideally from previous experience from a workshop or dealership or a similar environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in supplier management and cost control.
- Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Confident, polite and works well in a team.
- Computer literate in MS Word/Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative.
