**_ We have an exciting opportunity to join our Environmental Sustainability Team at NELC as a Coastal Ranger. This is a full-time position (37 hours). Fixed term for 18 months_**
**Our Purpose**
North East Lincolnshire Council is one of only 20 places in the UK which is part of the Heritage Fund. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting project centered around our aims to protect our natural environment, increase biodiversity and protect, enhance and maintain our designated sites.
**The Role**
As a Coastal Ranger, you will play an integral role in raising awareness of the internationally important natural heritage asset and the measures needed to protect our species and habitats from harm, damage, disturbance or decline. You will be key to improving knowledge and understanding of the habitats and species within the designated areas through the development of an education, communication and an agreed engagement programme.
The role involves working with a project team to build partnerships between public, private, voluntary and community sector partners to build the foundations for collaboration to develop and deliver a range of initiatives.
