**Job description**:
This role provides the opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to build their commercial knowledge and skills, with clear career pathways. There will be opportunities to run procurement activities and work with suppliers and clients.

Further responsibilities include:

- Proactively engaging with internal/external key personnel in order to ensure that the contract management arrangements, (including memoranda of understanding (MoU) are undertaken in line with Best Practice.
- Proactively work with Lead Officers to ensure the successful delivery of sourcing activity.
- Ensuring compliance with the Agency’s commercial obligations as a Public Body.
- Identifying and escalating risks for all contracts/MoUs within scope of the Category.
- Maintaining accurate management information pertinent to the successful management and delivery of the category portfolio.
- Undertaking corporate managerial responsibilities commensurate with the grade e.g. recruitment, grievance and disciplinary cases.
- Taking minutes/creating agendas.

**Person specification**:
**About You**

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You will have the ability to work effectively independently but also as part of a wider team.

You will be resilient and will have the ability to escalate issues effectively to senior managers, where appropriate.

You will have excellent attention to detail and record keep effectively.

You will have experience of using Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel).

You will be highly organised and will have the ability to prioritise tasks within set deadlines.
