Major Donor Fundraiser

**Job Purpose**
Over the last 2 years we have focused effort on increasing the number of larger gifts we receive from individuals and companies. We are looking for an individual with major donor fundraising experience to work with our fundraising team to lead on securing mid-high level gifts (of over £1,000).
You will cultivate supporters, research prospective donors, secure gifts and help with events.
**Job Summary**
- Secure new mid-high level gifts from individuals and companies (of over £1,000 a year)
- Retain existing mid-high value donors with active engagement
- Own the Investors Club and keep members engaged in the Foundation through a variety of means
- Research, find, and cultivate new donors
- Work with the communications team to source compelling and impactful stories from our projects
- Run small cultivation events with support from the fundraising team for existing and potential mid-high level donors
- Track mid-high level income secured from individuals and companies
- Has a flexible approach and a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends, as and when required.
**Job Requirements**

Essential_**
- Knowledge of how to cultivate and secure mid-high level gifts
- Experience in major donor fundraising
- Experience in philanthropic donor engagement
- Experience in managing relationships with current donors
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Use of eTapestry or other CRM software
- Excellent writing skills
- Excellent communication/presentation skills both written and verbal
- Excellent networking skills, able to network at the highest level and work closely with our CEO, Trustees and Senior Management Team
- Outstanding organisational skills with an attention to detail

- Awareness and understanding of the local community and the potential challenges and opportunities faced by residents
- Interest in and understanding of football
- Approachable with the ability to form relationships with variety of diverse stakeholders
