**The Opportunity**

We are looking for a reliable and responsible Night Supervisor to oversee our night team and ensure the smooth running of the hotel during the night shift. The Night Supervisor will be responsible for managing guest requests, ensuring security and safety procedures are adhered to, and providing general support to the hotel staff.

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing and overseeing the night team, ensuring they are performing their duties to the highest standard.
- Ensuring security and safety procedures are adhered to throughout the night shift.
- Handling guest requests and complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
- Performing regular security checks throughout the hotel.
- Providing general support to the hotel staff during the night shift.
- Assisting with any maintenance or housekeeping tasks that may arise.
- Setting up meeting rooms and other areas as required.
- Serving food and beverages to guests as required.
- Checking guests in and out of the hotel as required.
- Handling any emergency situations that may arise.
- Preparing reports for senior management as required.

- Previous experience working in a hotel or similar environment, preferably in a night supervisor role.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A good understanding of safety and security procedures.
- The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work evenings and weekends if required.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Our hotel, the Holiday Inn Edinburgh, is ideally located midway between Edinburgh Airport and the city centre, making it a perfect base to explore all the attractions and sights that Edinburgh has to offer. Our Academy Conference Centre offers 14 meeting rooms, located on the 5th floor of the hotel with panoramic views of the Pentland Hills, accommodating up to 120 guests.
