**Position**: Back of House Servant (Housekeeper)

**Job Type**: Casual, zero hours.

**Location**: Lympne Castle, Hythe

**Job description**:As part of the Housekeeping team you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness throughout Lympne Castle.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Clean and maintain orderliness in various areas of the castle interior and exterior premises, including cottages, bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas, food and beverage outlets, ceremonial and event spaces.
- Laundry and ironing.
- Stocking and inventory of guest areas, cleaning supplies and linens.
- Adhere to health and safety standards in accordance with castle regulations and industry best practices.

This is a 7-day /week hospitality operation. As such, weekend and evening work will be required.

**To be considered, the following criteria need to be met**:

- Minimum of 6 months of experience in housekeeping or a related field;
- Knowledge of efficient and effective cleaning techniques, products and equipment;
- Self-motivated and disciplined;
- Solutions-oriented;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work well under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment;
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and evenings as required;
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects, as well as the ability to navigate stairs, variously sized spaces, and uneven ground;
- Ability to stand and actively clean for long periods of time;
- Have a safety-first mind set.
