**Location**: Greater Manchester area, United Kingdom

**Salary**: £22,600 pro RATA

AbilityNet is seeking a passionate and motivated Digital Skills Trainer to join our team in the Greater Manchester area. As a Digital Skills Trainer, you will play a crucial role in providing training and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to develop their digital skills and access technology effectively.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct one-to-one training sessions with individuals with disabilities, focusing on enhancing their digital skills and knowledge.
- Deliver group training sessions and workshops on various digital topics, including computer basics, internet usage, assistive technology, and accessibility features.
- Assess individual training needs and develop personalised training plans to address specific requirements.
- Educate individuals on digital accessibility principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with other team members to create training materials, resources, and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends, accessibility standards, and assistive technologies.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions and participant progress.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and disabilities.
- Experience in delivering training or educational sessions, either in a group or one-to-one setting.
- Understanding of accessibility principles and familiarity with assistive technologies is desirable.
- A car and a valid driver's licence to travel within the Greater Manchester area is essential.
- Ability to adapt training approaches and materials to meet individual learning styles and requirements.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training sessions and priorities effectively.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, based on training schedules and participant availability.
- A genuine passion for empowering individuals with disabilities and promoting digital inclusion.
