**The Role**
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Appeals Review Officer to join our Parking Services team.
- In this role, you will; process formal representations and review CCTV bus lane / moving traffic contraventions and issuing Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) while ensuring accuracy of data. You will operate as an individual and with other team members. You will be expected to have excellent communication and IT skills (training on bespoke systems will be provided) and be professional at all times. You will be reporting to the Lead Moving Traffic Enforcement Officer and workload will be assigned by the Senior Appeals Officer.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Responding to representations against parking and civil enforcement PCNs and adhering to strict timescales and policy
- Answering enquiries from the public regarding their notices
- Reviewing Bus Lane contraventions and issuing bus lane PCNs in conjunction with another appeal/review officer
- Working in a confidential and professional manner
- Working independently and managing own workload without close supervision
- Assisting with internal and external audits as required
- Issuing licences and raising invoices as required
- Assist with Tribunal case management
- Reviewing and preparing case packs for Blue Badge misuse cases as required
- Gather statistics and Freedom of Information requests as required

- This role falls into the category of Fixed Worker which means you can expect to work in the following way:
- 4+ days in the office
- Spends most or all of their time in the office, due to nature of the work but can be for reasons such as unsuitable home working conditions or a desire for separation of home and work life
- The office remains a shared space with cultural encouragement for clear desk policies
**About You**
- We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering fair, consistent enforcement that supports safer, more efficient transport / parking in North Somerset and who possesses the following skills and experience:
**Essential Criteria**:
- Experience working in a team environment
- Competent using basic IT equipment and software
- Experience dealing with the public and good customer service skills
- High attention to detail
- Experience with decision making
- Willingness to undergo training in relevant legislation and systems
- Excellent written communication
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Level 2 Notice Processing qualification (training will be provided if not applicable)
- An understanding of parking/bus lane enforcement legislation and regulations
