This role has come at a critical time in the evolution of their software suite, as the product suite and team grow, so will the demand for a strong, responsive and asynchronous front end.
You would be working alongside an agile technical team implementing visual elements and their behaviours with user interactions. Acting as a bridge between the visual and the server-side infrastructure.
- JavaScript, knowing its quirks, and workarounds
- ReactJS, Redux or comparative
- Unit testing in React using tools such as Jest or React Testing Library
- Good knowledge of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
- Good understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
- JavaScript module loaders, such as Require.js and AMD
- Webpack
- Git or similar versioning tool
- Good understanding of browser rendering behaviour and performance
- Experience of developing in a CI/CD process
