**Summary**:
Probus Surgery is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated Phlebotomist to join our friendly nursing team. You will be responsible for the care and management of delivering Phlebotomy services to our patients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform venepuncture.
- Work as part of the clinical and operational team to deliver high standards of patient centre care.
- Support the practice in achieving quality indicators and targets set out in the QOF, LES/DES, IIF and GMS contract.
- All employees have a statutory duty of care for their own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. Employees are required to co-operate with management to enable the practice to meet its own legal duties and to report any hazardous situations or defective equipment.
- All employees are required to maintain the confidentiality of the public and members of staff in accordance with the Practice policies.
- Update SOP’s as necessary
- To assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required.
- To provide flexible cover for members of the Nursing team during periods of sickness and leave
- Participate in audits
- Keep up to date with changes in clinical processes and new services.
- Action workflow and tasks and deal with appropriate queries
- Maintain communication and liaise with others across primary and secondary care services when necessary.
- Contribute to and work effectively within the primary care team.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Provide professional advice/support to health care professionals within the primary care team.
- Advise and support other team members of the team aiming towards common objectives.
- Promote your own continuing professional development.
- Participate in annual appraisals.
- Complete all mandatory training modules as specified by the organisation.
- Abide by the legal requirements and statutory rules relating to practice.

**Job Hours and Pay**:
**Job Types**: Part time, Permanent
25 hours per week 8.00-13.00 Monday-Friday
Salary depends on experience.
**Experience & Skills**:
- Phlebotomy training
- Venepuncture certification
- Experience of working in a GP practice with SystmOne.
**Location of Work**:
Probus is our main site and we do run Clinics at the Merlin Centre and Tregony. You will be expect to work at Probus.
