Buying Assistant

Overall Purpose of the Role:
As Buying Assistant, you will work closely with the Buyer. Your responsibility is to manage newly selected products, through our commercial set up and compliance processes, into the business.

Key Accountabilities:

- Communicating with factories to be responsible for the initial set-up of all new and updated products into the business.
- Responsibilty for sample management, from initial sample through to pre-production sample approval.
- Liaise with the QA team to ensure that all samples are legally compliant with the latest regulations
- Be involved with the set-up of new suppliers ensuring all paperwork is filed in and returned in a timely manner
- Liaise with the purchasing team to make sure that all new product information is passed over in a complete and timely manner.
- Support new suppliers so that they understand the high standards required by Morphy Richards.
- Work with the buyer and QA team to support our ethical trading requirements.
- To be aware of the competitive landscape from both a product and pricing perspective.

- Be an effective communicator with the ability to deal diplomatically at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Good numerical skills and the ability to work accurately with data
- Good verbal and written skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and ‘flex’ according to the business needs.
- Capable of working unsupervised and able to use own initiative.
- Happy to be challenged by a fast-paced role with a high interruption level
- Ability to multi-task

Pay: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
