The performance of KAL’s fitness products are a crucial component of the organisations overall all performance. The Fitness Coordinator role is key to developing and driving these products successfully.

You will play a critical role in ensuring KAL’s on the floor Fitness, Personal Training and Group Exercise products build upon our current success and continue to grow effectively whilst exceeding customer expectations.

**Requirements of Fitness Coordinator**
- Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification or Exercise Referral Qualification accredited by REPS/CIMSPA
- Hold an ETM or an alternative group exercise programme qualification
- Significant months supervisory/management experience in the Health and Fitness industry
- Complete enhanced DBS check

**Responsibilities of Fitness Coordinator**
- Play a key role in developing and delivering new fitness products
- Lead by example when driving standards of excellent customer experience
- Contribute and assist in the ongoing development of the Fitness product, supporting the Assistant Fitness Development Manager and leading on key workstreams as required
- **FULL ROLE PROFILE**:_

Working as Fitness Coordinator within KAL, you will support, mentor and upskill the operational Fitness Teams across our 6 sites. You will lead by example, interacting with customers when on site, taking responsibility to feedback given, and driving our commercial products to the forefront of what customers see within KAL.

Your role will be based across KAL sites, overseeing the impact of KAL’s fitness teams and fitness products, and working with the Fitness Team Leaders/Operations Managers to improve the customer experiences. Working flexibly across your working week at a range of days and times, largely based on site, to ensure visibility of the fitness development team and effective communication between the corporate and operational teams.

As a Fitness Coordinator, you will be experienced fitness professional, confident in managing fitness products across multiple sites, ensuring consistency, driving high standards and delivering significant impact across the organisation. The post holder needs to be an energetic, outgoing, fitness-minded, people-person, with a significant amount of operational experience.

You will play a key role in the management of the personal training and group exercise products, in conjunction with the Assistant Fitness Development Manager (AFDM) and Fitness Development Manager (FDM), and work to develop the employed and self-employed people involved within the fitness product.

It is vital you identify areas of growth or improvement within our commercial fitness and health products, and use the correct communication channels to facilitate change to improve our services.

**Key Tasks**

**Fitness Product**
- Design and deliver engaging training sessions across our fitness instructor teams and group exercise instructors, as well as increasing product knowledge across the other customer facing teams within KAL.
- Play a key role in developing and delivering new fitness products
- Lead by example when driving standards of excellent customer experience
- Contribute and assist in the ongoing development of the Fitness product, supporting the AFD and leading on key workstreams as required
- Spend time on the gym floor, mentoring the fitness teams and encouraging better working practices through upskilling and knowledge checks
- Be reactive to areas that need to improve at each site or within a product, and communicate this effectively.
- Play a key role in the development and delivery of the retention activity across KAL, ensuring the success of the current member journey, and the use of computer systems to monitor customer usage.
- Provide regular, concise and accurate feedback on products and services at each site to corporate teams
- Provide input into marketing and promotional activity specifically related to the fitness product
- Review and support the audit of fitness marketing and promotional materials at sites to ensure it sits within KAL’s brand standards.
- Coordinating fitness and charity events, helping with the overall promotion and success of the event
- Responding to customer queries and complaints, ensuring accurate and concise feedback is documented to improve KAL’s customer service offering
- Recruit and manage Health and Wellbeing volunteers for appropriate health sessions, ensure their experience is positive and complete a full induction to their role and with regular contact

**Group Exercise**
- Support the AFDM with Group Exercise Instructor management, including regular communications regarding timetabling, sourcing instructor cover and GEX schedules
