Operations Services department is a combination of both Middle Office and Back Office Processing teams. It provides processing support for the front line units (Transaction Banking, Corporate Banking and Financial Institutions) handling trade finance, loan and cash management products and these team operate as a 1LoD processing function. As a Senior Assistant - Trade Settlement, you will be responsible for administering the delivery of all functions within the Technical Team primarily processing Bank Guarantees, Standby LC’s and Import LC’s. This is a full time permanent position.

**Key responsibilities**
- Process daily workload which includes letters of credit, documentary collections and guarantees, both import and export and financing including negotiations, discounts, loans and risk sale and purchase
- Perform four eye checks on work processed by other colleagues
- Assist in handling ancillary tasks including post, courier, filing, SWIFT messages, archiving, and other daily processes
- Assist with customer queries
- Prepare and provide information requested for monthly, quarterly and half-yearly statistics for the department and Head Office
- Ensure all transactions are processed within timeframe and within rules and regulations, e.g. UCP, ISBP and URDG
- Provide assistance and advice to customers in relation to trade services products and assist local and overseas branches as well as other banks with any queries when required
- Provide assistance and guidance to fellow staff
- Comply with departmental procedure manual and Bank-wide policies

**Requirements**:

- Degree educated in Business, Finance, Accounting or other equivalent
- Experience in Financial Services industry and proven track record of similar business area
- A good understanding of Trade Finance products
- A good understanding of international sanctions
- A good understanding of Financial Crime and Anti Money Laundering prevention
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly in the use of MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills
