Care Support Worker

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Support Worker to join us in our Supported Living service near Neath Town Centre

We have 35 hour part time, permanent position available.

This service operates 24/7, requiring flexibility with shifts, including:

- Day shifts can vary from: 8-3 / 9-5 / 5-11 (sleep)
- Sleep-in shifts: 11-7 In addition to day shifts (additional £62.64 per shift)

You will be expected to support with daily aspects of living, including:

- Supporting with medication
- Meal preparation
- Laundry and cleaning
- Supporting with weekly shopping
- Supporting to maintain relationships with friends and family
- Promoting and engaging in recreational activities
- Being an advocate
- Person - centred Care

**What skills and experience do you need?**

A background of working with people with mental health / learning disabilities is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from experienced colleagues and management is provided.  More important are;
- A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
- An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player

A driving licence is desirable for this role, but not essential.
