**The Opportunity**:
The University of Edinburgh is seeking a dynamic Head of Physical Preparation to lead our elite performance programme. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing innovative, evidence-based physical conditioning strategies to optimise performance for elite athletes. You will coach elite athletes on the programme, collaborate with head coaches and national partners, and lead the physical preparation team to create a world-class training environment that fosters a culture of excellence and innovation.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week).

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- Degree in sports science or a related field; postgraduate degree desirable
- UK Strength and Conditioning Association Accreditation (or commitment to attain)
- Experience supporting international-level athletes
- Proven strategic planning and implementation skills in high-performance sports settings Experience in managing staff, leading teams, and fostering a performance culture
