Cleaner

**Part Time - 15 hours per week (Monday - Friday)**

**Band 1 - Salary £11.44 per hour / £8,947 per annum (FTE £22,069)**

Arts University Plymouth currently has an opportunity for an experienced cleaner to join our housekeeping team and work with our friendly colleagues and community of Artists.

As a cleaner, you will be an important member of our Estates team, helping contribute to the overall student, staff and visitor experience, by creating a clean and welcoming environment throughout our vibrant campus buildings.

**About You**:

- You will have:
- previous experience in general cleaning activities-
- a good awareness of general health and safety issues-
- demonstrable skills in undertaking a range of manual cleaning activities maintaining high standards of cleanliness.-
- numeracy skills and the ability to read written instructionsthe willingness to develop and enhance your own skills and knowledge by participating in training to keep knowledge and skills up-to-date.-
- You will be able to:
- work on your own as well as in a team and have the ability to work flexibly.- You will be self-motivated with the ability to plan and organise your own workload effectively and efficiently.

**About The Role**:

- provide and maintain a clean environment for staff, students and visitors alike, positively contributing to a safe learning and work environment while adhering to Health and Safety and Safeguarding guidelines.- use mechanical and electrical machinery safely and effectively (e.g. wet and dry suction cleaners, scrubber driers, and scrubber polishers).
- to enable the safe use of cleaning products, following necessary COSHH training.
