Senior Technical Writer

**Brief Role Description**:
We are supporting our client who are a successful manufacturer of Safety Critical Components, in their search for a Senior Technical Writer to join their expanding team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Drive the creation, proof-reading, and editing of service and repair documents to a high standard of accuracy and readability
- Liaising with teams across the company to digest and understand information and turn it into clear, precise information for service which meets standards for medical devices
- Project managing a large, continuously changing, documentation set for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing our systems
- Gathering feedback from our stakeholders to improve our ways of working as well as documenting and sharing that best practice
- Researching, interpreting, and presenting technical information, as both text and diagrams
- Facilitating access, for our service engineers across the globe, to all our documentation and services
- Understanding our systems and the technical challenges we encounter
- Supporting and mentoring team members to develop their skills

- Attention to detail in managing a continuously changing set of documentation
- Confidence portraying information effectively using graphics and images
- To enjoy finding things out by talking to colleagues from different disciplines
- To be curious, proactive, and a great team player
- An analytical approach and an ability to quickly grasp functions of, and relationships between, parts of a complex system
- A commitment to continuous improvement and gathering feedback from customers
- An eagerness to learn, adopt and instruct on modern digital content delivery methods
- A track record of creating high-quality technical content
- To be enthusiastic about making our product a success and making mínimal access surgery accessible to all
It will also be helpful if you have experience in:
- Medical devices or another highly regulated industry
- Roll-out of large-scale technical document changes
- Technical documentation translation projects
- Experience using structured modular authoring tools
- A good degree, preferably in a science or engineering discipline
