Redline have a fantastic Contract Electronics Design Engineer opportunity with their client based in Cambridgeshire.
Our client are a world leading design and developer of smart technology, and they are currently looking to hire 2 experienced Contract Engineers to help them bring the next generation of products to market. They promote a pro-active and collaborative workingculture, where Engineers work together to resolve technical problems; as such we are looking for likeminded professionals to join the team on a 12-month contract.
This contract has an indicative outside IR35 determination and therefore can be offered to contractors operating through their own PSC. The client is offering some flexibility for remote working but you will need to be onsite for testing and approvals.
You will be responsible for the creation of robust designs and test specifications, as well as BOMs as required. It is also expected that you will select the appropriate components for these designs and initiate the approvals process.
We are looking for excellent communicators who are able to take part in design reviews, can create prototypes and carry out testing on said prototypes.
In addition, to be considered for the Contract Electronics Design Engineer opportunity in Cambridgeshire, you will need experience in the following:

- Altium design tools/schematic simulation tools
- AC-DC converter design
- Circuit board design and board layout with regards to EMC or RF
- Control systems and embedded software (desirable)
- Designing and/or testing RF (Zigbee, Bluetooth, WiFi) circuits.
