**About our exciting opportunity**
You will be an active advocate for the implementation and maintenance of safe working practices across the business building effective relationships with both internal and external teams in taking a partnership approach to dealing with QSHE issues promptly to ensure a safe environment and minimising the impact to operational delivery. Duties include but not limited to;
- The maintenance and on-going development of the County Broadbands QSHE framework ensuring process and policy documentation is concise, meets applicable legislative and contractual requirements and is kept up to date.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance and to work closely with our build supervisors and Build Partner QSHE leads.
- Support the Training Manager with specialist training in relation to QSHE for new and existing employees
- Use QSHE related data to identify trends and corrective action to be taken to positively impact overall safety performance and ensure HSE performance standards are consistently delivered i.e., reduction in accidents, near misses, strikes, etc
- Positively represent the QSHE function in dealings with colleagues, suppliers, customers and other third parties ensuring all interactions are aligned to the County Broadband company values and drive a supportive QSHE culture
- Work collaboratively with the operational & delivery teams to ensure safety standards are implemented and maintained across directly employed staff in addition to sub-contractors
- Update and maintain County Broadband databases and systems where appropriate ensuring accuracy and completeness of QSHE related data
- Share QSHE related information with employees, sub-contractors and suppliers where applicable to drive a culture of continuous improvement. Encourage engagement in QSHE through identification of better ways of working that ease operational delivery and enhances safety performance
- Implement the County Broadband QSHE policies, standards and procedures in support of a safe working environment identifying opportunities to improve both policy and procedure for working smarter
- To conduct supplier audits in accordance to ensure compliance to QSHE standards.
- Attend supplier QSHE meetings.

**Your skills and experience**
- NEBOSH Certificate or similar awarding body
- Experience of ISO Standards and their implementation/operation
- Proven track record in quality, environmental & safety management
- Excellent communication skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office programmes.
