How you'll make a difference:
What you will be doing:
- Undertaking site inspections and negotiations, you will support in the preparation of reports for the committee and preparing written appeal statements.
- Working with other sections within the council in connection with development management and unauthorised developments, you will liaise with colleagues and enforcement planning officers.
What we need from you:
- It is essential that you are educated to degree level or hold an NVQ Level 3 in town planning or a related field.
- You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of development control objectives, procedures and planning law and be open for further training.
- We require you to have good customer skills, with well-developed communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- It is preferred that you are able to understand and use scaled drawings and maps and have a knowledge of legislation and current issues facing planning.
