My client is a leading public sector body with over 8,000 vehicles in the Nottingham area. They currently service both internal and external fleet customers with a mix of HGV, LGV, van's and car networks across two state of the art workshops across Nottingham.They are currently leading the way of transitioning to an electric vehicle fleet and have achieved millions in grant funding to Go Green
**Description**
As a Deputy Fleet & Workshop Operations Manager will report into the Transport & Fleet Manager on a daily basis. You will be based on the Nottingham Central site and be responsible for the following areas:
- To provide a high quality, comprehensive and efficient repair and maintenance service for both our internal fleet and external customers, which includes a diverse range of vehicles and plant.
- To effectively manage over 30 fleet engineering and support staff to deliver high standards of customer service, monitoring and managing the delivery of work to ensure KPIs, efficiency and output targets are met.
- To work with the management team to drive productivity of the staffing.
- To maintain an effective programme of vehicle testing, inspection and examination, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, the legal requirements of the Vehicle Operator's Licence, health and safety legislation, taxi licensing legislation, DVSArequirements.
- To ensure customer and colleague satisfaction through the efficient delivery of a modern fleet business, with minimised service disruption to both internal and external customers.
- To act as site manager for the DVSA MOT test station and to ensure compliance with any standards, conditions or undertakings as required.
- To be responsible for budgetary management and control of income and expenditure for the operation.
**Profile**
The successful Deputy Fleet & Workshop Operations Manager will have the following skills set and experience:
- Proven history in vehicle mainteance and/or fleet transport management.
- Experience wioth a diverse fleet of vehicles and/or plant.
- Experience in managing a workshop fleet environment.
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Certificate in Motor Vehicle Engineering would be ideal but not essential.
**Job Offer**
- £34,000-£38,000.
