Cleaner (Part-time Position)

**About Ashlin Farm Barns**

We are an award-winning, friendly, family-run business with a collection of 24 luxury, award-winning holiday barns, situated just outside Dunholme village. Each barn accommodates four to ten people and we are open 365 days a year with the busiest times being Easter, summer/school holidays and Christmas. We pride ourselves in making sure the barns are spotlessly clean and well-presented for our guests. We offer full training and support, free on-site parking, employee discount, referral programme and staff rewards, as well as the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff.

We are seeking to appoint a number of reliable and enthusiastic **zero-hours Cleaners**. You would be working as part of our friendly team of highly motivated housekeeping staff, taking pride in maintaining our high standards of cleanliness and presentation for our guests.

The initial contract is a zero-hours contract with shifts allocated on an ‘as and when’ required basis. The shift times are normally **Mondays and/or Fridays 10am-2pm** but other weekday and weekend shifts are available on occasions. Bank Holidays and weekends are paid at time and a 1/3.

We do offer permanent contracts from time to time and all staff (permanent and zero-hours) are notified of these internally.

Cleaning experience is preferable, although full training will be provided for all new staff.

**Job Summary**

With the support of a Team Leader, you will work as part of a friendly team, within a time limit, to prepare and clean the barns ready for the next set of guests arriving. We ensure the barns are cleaned to the highest standard and you will play a vital role in achieving this standard.

Key tasks include:

- Cleaning kitchens, including appliances and cupboard/drawer items.
- Cleaning living/dining and sun-rooms including vacuuming all upholstery.
- Cleaning bedrooms, including helping to make up beds and rearranging display cushions/throws.
- Cleaning bathrooms.
- Cleaning hallways, stairs and landing areas.
- Checking for and removing any stains on carpets, furniture etc.
- Following our housekeeping guide to presentation, ensuring the overall appearance meets the expected exceptional standards.
- Reporting any missing/damaged items, marks on walls, fixtures and fittings etc.
- Checking garden/courtyard areas for any waste, untidiness, left over items and cleanliness of outdoor furniture, hot tubs etc.

**Person Specification & Requirements**
- Have previous cleaning experience (although not essential as full training will be provided).
- Be self-motivated, have a willingness to work as part of a team and take pride in their work.
- Be reliable and responsible.
- Have a pro-active, enthusiastic work ethic and be able to work as part of our friendly team.
- Have the personal qualities to represent the company in a friendly and welcoming way.
- Be able to reliably commute to Dunholme, specifically our site on Ashing Lane, LN2 3BY.

**Pay**: age 21 years and above £12/hour, 18-20 year olds £9.50/hour, 16-17 year olds £8.25/hour.
