We are recruiting for an Operational Finance Analyst Assistant. This is a hybrid role, in part based at our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.

Reporting into the Operational Finance Manager and working as part of our knowledgeable and experienced team, you will be a Finance contact for Retail Operations and the wider Finance team.

We are looking for someone who wants to begin or continue to develop their career in Finance and in return for your hard work, we can support you to achieve your ambition through gaining qualifications, guidance and experience.

Key responsibilities will include;
- Analysing and interpreting store level performance (inc Financial, Customer and key strategic KPIs), highlighting any issues and understanding trends. You'll support reviews with the Operations team to understand and support action plans for areas of opportunity
- Supporting the continual improvement of Operational Finance reporting, alongside this you will be the key contact within the team to ensure reports are issued in a timely and accurate fashion
- Working closely with the rest of Operational Finance to model / build / support / present / input the formal Business Plan and Reforecast
- Responsibility for weekly reporting, period end reporting and board slide preparation; understanding variances and clearly explaining to non-financial colleagues
- Maintenance of relevant balance sheets on a frequent basis to show strong financial control
- Providing support and challenge to relevant Retail Operations Stakeholders
- Preparing Audit level information for the relevant finance teams during our quarterly Audit process

**About you**
- You may have begun a professional accountancy qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- You will have previous experience working in a finance function or have a relevant University Degree
- You will have a high attention to detail
- You will have the flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing commercial environment
- You will be a strong team player with the ability to work with other teams to build strong collaborative relationships
- You will have strong Excel skills with experience of using Vlookups, Sumifs, pivot tables and graphs
