We are currently searching for resilient Behaviour Support Assistants to join a brilliant, supportive team at a Special Primary School for boys.

The school supports boys who have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Condition, Asperger’s Syndrome, and those with a diagnosis of ADHD and other associated learning difficulties.

There are no more than 8 children in each class, and you will often be required to work on a 1:1 basis, providing targeted support to enable your students to access education to their fullest potential. At times the students can display behaviours that challenge, so we are looking for a patient, resilient individual to best support these young learners.
You will be joining a very supportive team and will benefit from strong leadership and continuous professional development and career progression opportunities.

Your own means of transport is essential due to semi-rural location.
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Supporting learners with numeracy and literacy
- Working with groups and individuals
- Using your interests to engage the learners
- Ensuring learners make the right levels of progress
- Support the teacher in planning and delivering lessons
- Support learners with all their pastoral needs
**What our schools are looking for**:

- Experience of working with children in any setting
- Supportive and empathetic to the needs of the learners
- Patience and have a flexible view on learning
- A passion to make a difference
- Strong numeracy or literacy skills
- An understanding of the National Curriculum
