The position is responsible for the Workshop within the HIAB Ellesmere Depot. Which is measured by volume, profitability, team satisfaction and customer satisfaction for assigned
customers.
**Main tasks and responsibilities**:
- To work from the workshop floor within the installation team and liaise with the supervising team
and management to deliver an efficient, effective and profitable operation.
- Work in conjunction with the overall HIAB strategy and contribute to continuous improvements within this area of operation.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Reporting of shortages and engineering shortcomings.
- Provide work based support where needed.
- Support with installation growth and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Support in the growth of the installations team using working practices and experience.
- Develop and practise a lean and 6s safety culture.
- Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and in compliance with the company's safety rules / procedures and with regulations and codes of practice.
- Build staff engagement and support growth in training and compliance areas.
**What you’ll need to succeed**:
**Working experience**:
- Experience in an engineering workshop.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Experience meeting deadlines.
**Competence and skills**:
- Proven ability to work within and support a busy workshop environment.
- Able to demonstrate and lead by example hand fitting competencies.
- Ability to demonstrate time and cost control.
- Team facing skills.
- Computer skills ie microsoft and or google.
- Proven ability to manage working relationships.
- Ability to follow and lead safety instructions.
- Knowledge and understanding of a Hiab product installation.
- Achievement driven.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
**License/Certificate**:
- Driving licence
- Fork lift truck - not essential but desirable
