Guest Relations Team Leader

**About the role**:
In preparation of a busy summer ahead, we are currently looking to expand our Reception Team and are currently recruiting for a Guest Relations Team Leader to join the reception team offering a personalised service to our guests.

**Who we are looking for**:
As part of the hotel reception team, you will support the Guest Relations Supervisors and Reception Manager in the daily operation, leading the team and ensuring guest expectations are delivered and exceeded at all times.

You'll be highly motivated and have a creative personality, an abundance of positivity and give a warm welcome to every guest. You’ll have impeccable personal presentation standards, be team orientated, and have excellent communication skills as you’ll be working closely with other departments in the hotel.

Previous hotel reception experience is essential, and that you background has been working within a quality 4 or 5 star hotel environment.

This is a full-time role and will include working weekends and occasional night shift (holiday cover)

**Some of the main duties**:

- Being an active member of the reception team, you will welcome all guests and give them a unique check-in and check-out experience
- You will have previous receptionist knowledge and be aware of what’s involved; from Check-in, check out to behind-the-scenes procedures.
- As Guest Relations Team Leader, your role will involve ad hoc Duty Manager shifts, you will be part of the hotel emergency response team, responsible for reporting guest and employee incidents.
- Assisting the Reception Manager with providing training and development to the team, providing support and coaching, ensuring team members are carrying out their roles to the best of their ability
- Develop high quality and lasting relationships with guests, from the moment they arrive and throughout their stay.
- This role, will see you move between concierge and receptionist roles, being a true local hero, providing concierge information about Edinburgh and beyond.
- Be the first point for any guest concerns where you will be empowered to try to resolve them or seek guidance
- Communication is key, you will ensure that information is passed on to other departments as necessary and to the other members of the department
- Ensure that guest documentation and information is available and up-to-date
- Flexibility is a must as you will be required to cover shifts over the weekends/nights/public holidays

**Salary**: £10.75-£12.00 per hour
