We are currently supporting one of the largest projects in the country and looking to recruit an experienced and talented Programme Manager / Coach to support the design, development, and sustainment of Programme Management capability.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Lead and support the establishment of programme management capability in alignment with MSP and best-practice principles
- Develop and implement programme assessment procedures aligned to P3M3
- Identifying and managing stakeholders in relation to the work activity
- When required, take a lead role in the management of a programme or programme management office (PMO)
**You will be**:
Coaching and running workshops and getting 'hands on’ with both the programme management and programme office teams.
Including the need for expertise in all programme products, ranging from mandates and briefs to blueprints, tranche planning and programme support plans as well as the P3M3 programme perspectives.
Supporting the delivery of the programme lifecycle requirements as well as providing the opportunity for external learning and best practice.
As this type of coaching requires discrete outputs in the form of workshops or programme products.
Coaching would involve working with the senior management within the organisation, ranging across SPA’s, sponsors, Heads of Portfolio etc., to support informed and effective decision making around portfolio and programme management.
It would support the overall strategic direction for the business and as such would require someone who is comfortable working at that level.
It could include support to workshops and proposals for aligning the business to the strategic direction and tying in with the P3D programme currently in development.
As this type of coaching requires engagement with senior stakeholders there would be a range of work packages involved which could run across short, medium, and long term.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in coaching and mentoring
- Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
- Good knowledge of programme and project management methods including MSP and APM
- Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise programme and project teams on their respective programmes and projects
- The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
