**The Role**
As a Quality Assurance Leader, you will undertake Quality Assurance reviews of personal and business customers from an Ongoing Due Diligence perspective. You will also undertake Quality Assurance reviews on new to bank on-boarding cases.

**What you’ll do**
- QA on ongoing due diligence. Responsible for conducting detailed and objective quality reviews of customer files from an AML / financial crime perspective for both business and personal customers.
- QA on new to bank business and personal customers - Assessment of the on-boarding information against AML legislative requirements as well as the Group’s AML Directive and local procedures.
- Ensuring that sufficient files are reviewed in line with targets to ensure the annual objectives of the Customer Protection Centre are met.
- Working with the other Quality Assurance Leaders to feed back to the wider Ongoing Due Diligence team on systemic errors, issues and trends.
- Communicating with line management on file completion progress, pass/fail rate, recurring errors, issues, suggested changes to procedure, policy etc.
- Where appropriate, liaising directly with the Personal Banking network and Relationship Managers for Business Banking to advise on reasons for resubmissions, fails and to proactively advise on relevant thematic issues.
- Maintain positive lines of communication with those responsible for on-boarding new to bank business customers, to ensure CX objectives are met.
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with wider Group QA colleagues to ensure consistency of approach (where applicable) and sharing of best practice.
- Where relevant / appropriate, input to risk assessment / financial crime assessments and ‘raise flag’ on emerging risks and associated issues.
- To promote the importance and an understanding of financial crime issues within the front line and act as a point of contact where relevant / appropriate.
- To ensure customers are provided with advice and service compliant with all existing legal, regulatory and voluntary code obligations, and all Bank standards, policies, processes and procedures.
- Work with stakeholders in implementing any relevant changes (eg in Group requirements or legislation) into QA processes so that these are embedded in the checks carried out.
- To ensure all activities are aligned to the core values thereby ensuring fair treatment of all customers.
**What skills / qualifications will you need?**
- Essential _
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of AML requirements within a UK and EU context essential.
- Good experience of advising on AML issues and working knowledge of UK AML standards in the context of customer due diligence for both personal and business / corporate customers.
- Banking Certificate or 3rd level Business related qualification preferred.
- AML qualification (eg ICT or similar) preferred.
- Analytical and logical approach to problem solving with the proven ability to make considered decisions.
- Working with senior stakeholders such as senior RMs in advising on customer related information requirements.

- Annual salary depending on experience.
- 32 days’ leave per year (22 days’ annual leave plus 10 paid bank holidays).
