1 x Full time 35-45 hours per week

Monday - Sunday Between the hours from 11-3pm & 4pm-10pm shift are changing weekly depending on business needs.

National minimum wage: £5.28-10.42ph

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

- Self-motivation and a passion for food and drink
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

1. The Key overall responsibilities for waiting staff are:

- Contribute to meeting the high standards of customer care
- Execute tasks and jobs designated by the supervisor or management to the required standard.

2. During service waiting staff normal roles will include; greeting guests, taking orders, delivering food to tables, serving drinks, clearing tables, polishing plates, glasses and cutlery, handling payments and cash, taking reservations, helping clean plates and kitchen utensils, setting up for the following service, and maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant and kitchen.

3. Waiting staff will contribute to the cleaning of the restaurant and its immediate surroundings, including; cleaning tables, chairs, banisters, vacuuming and moping floors and other daily cleaning tasks

4. The supervisor will explain all duties and roles expected of waiting staff during their shift.

5. Waiting staff will handle any customer queries in a professional manner and provide high level of customer service.

6. All restaurant staff must know the menus and have good knowledge of the food type. Training will be in place to familiarise staff with the dishes and wines, but it is ultimately down to the restaurant staff to take an active interest in the restaurant’s offering and communicate this effectively to the customer.

7. All employees will comply with El Picante Mexican Grill Ltd code of conduct, policies and procedures, which will be explained during induction.

Pay: £5.28-£10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
