Sense Scotland’s Highand Services are looking for Relief Support Practitioners. Sense Scotland have housing support and care at home services in this area all providing 24-hour support to individuals who live on their own or share with another person. We are keen to develop our Relief Support Worker pool and are looking for individuals who are flexible, covering shifts at short notice when required as well as covering planned shifts for annual leave etc.
This is a great opportunity to gain further experience, take on your first role in health and social care and can work alongside your other commitments.
Whilst previous experience is great it is not essential for these roles. At Sense Scotland, what is important is that all our staff have a genuine passion to make a difference in the life of someone with additional support needs. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, reliable, adaptable, have a strong work ethic and have a genuine passion for the work we deliver.
We need you to have a genuine passion to make a difference and realise the importance of a smile, and the impact you could have of enabling the individuals we support to take part in something they love.
You will be motivated and confident can work in a person-centered way to ensure consistent support for each individual and will be comfortable and confident in following Support Plans, writing reports and ensuring all relevant documentation is compliant.
You support the individuals in the service with a variety of tasks such as personal care and administration of medication and joining a 24 hour support team for each individual who will be encouraged to live lives independent from each other where possible, but deliver shared support when this meets both their needs.

Sense Scotland has been supporting individuals with communication support needs and /or a physical/learning disability for more than thirty years. We have been supporting individuals to live in their own home and in the way that they choose to live their life with a dedicated team of staff for many years.
We currently support individuals throughout North and South Lanarkshire in Airdrie, Blantyre, Rutherglen, Hamilton and East Kilbride. We are now at an exciting stage of development as we have recently started supporting two men to live in their own home together for the first time in the Motherwell area. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of developing something new, improving the lives of both individuals and helping to form a team who will support and challenge each other to provide the best possible service.
