**Responsible for**:
Working with line managers who have recruitment responsibilities, to ensure the successful recruitment, selection, induction and onboarding of all new starters.

**Objectives of the role**:
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Working with the Head of HR to clearly plan and communicate all recruitment, induction and onboarding activities across the Company to managers of all levels.
- Devising and formulating recruitment, induction and onboarding strategies to effectively and efficiently meet resourcing needs in a multi skilled, multi-site environment.
- Reporting to the Head of HR on expenditure of all recruitment, induction and onboarding activities against relevant budgets.
- Identify opportunities to improve and standardise the current recruitment, selection, induction and onboarding processes to ensure the successful integration and retention of new starters.
- Facilitate and manage all recruitment, induction and onboarding activities, to ensure the provision of a high-quality recruitment function and the completion of all recruitment related documentation for new starters.
- Work with the Head of HR to ensure line managers with recruitment responsibilities, follow all Company guidance and procedures in line with current best practice and relevant employment legislation, ensuring a fair and consistent selection process.
- To keep up to date with best practise in recruitment and selection, induction and onboarding to identify and communicate opportunities for the Company to develop and implement improvements to current activities and practices.
- Manage and develop the ATS function within the People HR system, with responsibility for managing and updating the status of vacancies across all job boards and social networks.
- Build and manage relationships with relevant third parties, including but not restricted to recruitment agencies, job advertising and social media platforms.
- Facilitate the coaching and support of hiring managers to improve their recruitment, selection and onboarding skills, providing direction and guidance on all related matters, to standardise both documentation and processes.
- Assist the Head of HR with guiding and supporting line managers through the probation period of all new starters.
- To be an active member of HR Team, providing regular and relevant feedback to the Head of HR, with requisite recruitment related reports, as well as demonstrating commitment to seeking continual improvement the Companys processes and practices.
- Assist the Head of HR in completing benchmarking exercises to research the offerings across relevant market competitors, to evaluate the feasibility of further developing the Companys employee value proposition.

**Required Experienceand Skills**:

- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a mid-level recruitment role, ideally within a fast paced and challenging multi-skilled, multi-site environment.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment campaigns, across different disciplines.
- Experience of building relationships with third parties in reference to the advertising and promotion of vacancies, including social media platforms.
- Experience of managing third party recruitment partners, including understanding and communicating contractual terms and conditions when engaging their services.
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of recruitment specific employment legislation (e.g. Right to Work) and adopting best practice in recruitment and selection procedures.
- Ability to coach and guide hiring managers, building productive relationships and maintaining credibility.
- Demonstrates an efficient, organised, and structured style of working.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Desirable**:

- Understanding of recruiting in the engineering sector.
- Familiarity of attending careers and job fairs
- Experience of recruiting apprentices
