Therapy Team Lead

We are excited to announce we are recruiting to our Intermediate Care unit. We are recruiting a band 7 Therapist working at this level or ready to take that next step. The role will involve working in a community setting providing rehabilitation toadults to maintain their independence and improve health and well being. The team provide care to older age multi-pathology, frailty, falls, respiratory conditions, orthopaedic conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, general medical conditions and any other conditions affecting independence in the community.
You will be working within an established, supportive team. We have a robust training and supervision structure. We are family-friendly offering flexible working including shifts, job share and compressed hours. Achieving a healthy work / life balance is important to us.
- You will have experience in team development.
- Evidence of continual professional development, alongside effective change management ethos.
- Experienced clinician with a special interest in community services/ frailty/rehabilitation
- Management of a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, and Therapy Assistants in two locations.
- Work in both Butler Green and Medlock Court to support the therapists and the patients in their progress.
- Working with a team to take the lead on supporting patients to live independently at home or help them discharge to a safe location.
- Providing specialist, comprehensive assessment and interventions for client group.
- You will take a lead role in the assessment and treatment, to identify and address individual needs to help patients live independently within their own home.
- You will have a broad range of experience managing medical, surgical, neurological and mental health conditions.
- You must have excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to work autonomously, under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable to supporting the Head of Service in developing and changing the service as required.
