Our client is the UK's biggest end-to-end commercial vehicle fleet management business managing and maintaining a fleet of over 90,000 vehicles across 81 locations.
They have an exciting opportunity for an Refrigeration Technician to join the team on a full-time permanent basis based in either Maltby or Wakefield.
The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for conducting motor vehicle repairs on HGVs for external customers, including the inspection, maintenance, repair and service of all types of mechanical assets.
In return, the Refrigeration Technician can expect a basic of up to £39,000, Garage Services Incentive Bonus, 25 Days Annual Leave, Free MOT's, Reward & Recognition Schemes, Health and Wellbeing Schemes plus much more.
Role & Responsibilities of Refrigeration Technician
- To ensure all HGV repairs and maintenance is completed as per company/manufacturer requirements and standards
- Correct fault diagnosis to ensure replacement parts are fitted correctly and warranty claims are in line with warranty terms
- Ensure full and complete end of shift handover including vehicle on or off-road status
- To complete job cards, service sheets, time sheets and any other relevant paperwork in an accurate, timely and efficient manner
- Undertakes necessary training to become multi-skilled
- To undertake diagnostic analysis where appropriate
To be a Refrigeration Technician
- Must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance Repair, or considered qualified by experience
- Proven experience working as an effective Refrigeration Technician
- Excellent customer service skills
- Great communication skills
Though not essential, any additional qualifications and/or experience in Diagnostics or Fleet Experience would be highly desirable.
